ENVIRONMENT

Rotary members are tackling environmental issues the way they always do: coming up with projects, using their connections to change policy, and planning for the future. Our club planned and initiated the building of a community flower garden at Latta Park in the Dilworth area.

We also participate in a neighborhood clean-up in the Dilworth area along East Boulevard four times a year. Members have picked up garbage and unclogged storm drains in this 1.5-mile area for more than 20 years.

In addition, we partner with several other Rotary clubs in support of the local nonprofit, TreesCharlotte, with the goal of improving the city's tree canapy and improving overall air quality.
